As you can see from the last photo of the house n the base there is a hell of a lot of work still to do before this one get the nodding head and finished.

i took a break from redecorating houses with the blitz krakenwagon which is one of 3 vehicals i plan on using on the dio.

this is the italia opal blitz kit with the plusmodel ambulance add on,(just the body) the build logs photos are in the gallery for you guys interested.

Now it's a case of sorting the site out fully and mving on to another part of the build just can not decide what at the mo though.

Hey TP,  I have to agree with SD, that overhead view is a real eye catcher. An Outstanding build overall. Cannot wait to see what you come up with next for this Dio. Wish I had this kind of Talent to put into my builds.  milvehfan

Well chaps made a start on teh ground work today i kicked it off with cutting the miniart roads to fit and getting them up to the right level with 4mm foam board.

Not wanting straight lines on te junction i decided to cut a few stone out and then once dry joing the patton back together with single stones.

I also took the opertunaty to cut in the grates and man hole cuver.

As teh road dried i added the helmuth stronghold curb stones took 3 packs but had to make 3 of my own to finish it off.

As every thing was drying i got the pavment base to teh right height with 3 mm foam board and got it in place so i could add teh pavment.

This was were the fun and sticky fingers started as i was going to make my own the same way as the lets build diorama book 1 demanstrated.i went for air drying clay

ripping some off rolling into balls and then into sausages.

From there i rolled it flat about 3/4 mm think and cut it into 2.5 cm stripes to put down as the basic pavement covering.

Strips were then glued onto the foam board with white pva glue and whilst still wet i carved the stone work and cracks ect into the strips.

Now its just a waiting game for it all to dry with that done i can then give it all a coat of basic grey under coat and start teh painting and detailing. And getting the road patton right.

As always chaps feed back welcome  :D

Cheers Bobby its taken months to get to this stage and still a long way to go.

this clay stuff worked out better than i though a bit of shrinkage but nothing i can not hide under rubble or fill with moss.

Dont think it would be strong enough to use for wall mate but it would make very nice plaster over a readyy made brick wall SD.

Well worth a look falcon save a lot of time with roads ect and there quit cheap 2 bits plus some other bits on the box like drain covers, bench fence ect.
