Im looking at doing a different field of the war, nothing wintery
Theres alot of products you can use for snow and ice Alex, im sure youve seen the examples on here - you can also buy clear pour resin to do water/frozen pon/river effects. I think it depends on the actual setting you want tho once you have your basic idea down, go from there - theres plenty of help and advice on here if you need it lol
Az
your keeping your idea well hidden there AZ I am hoping i can pick up some pointers from your winter dio and TP when he starts on his snow

Its all about learning Alex! Most of what I know came from someone else, you just have to have a go at it, if it doesnt turn out how you want than try again. Before you know it you will get it!
What I have learned is not to rush things, if you go to fast you will get stuck. I constantley try new ideas even if they are not for anything. One example of this would be the icicle technique you found, I forgot I had that in my file, pulled it back out and gave it a try. It didnt work out all that well the first go, but the second and third one were better.
Keep your chin up, and start thinking and sketching ideas, the rest will follow....

Hi Guys.
Okay Im in and will try and finish it on time this time round.
Too many ideas floating round at present.
I have recently been looking at some Diorama accessories for a new range of wargames scenery I want to do, However most of these are Roman and Celtic in origin so a wee bit too early, But I have some stuff I have been asked to do for WWII as well so will look at that as well.
Cheers

LOL Yeah right enought time maybe for everyone else.
I may actually do the dio in 15mm as I have been asked to do some Wargames buildings in this scale. The buildings could be used for the masters. Hmm As I said loads of Ideas.
Just have to find some interesting photos of German Buildings. Then Draw them, make paper templates, then the masters Cast them and build the Dio, Hmm Five Months Maybe.
Cheers

Plenty of time mate you just not got to go off on a tangent and get carried away with your books mate

books who mentioned Books Aaaargh, Damn it thats me of on a tangent again LOL.
I am considering doing some German Buildings. Hopefully timber framed. Hang on did I not do one in 1/72nd scale, Hmm No Need for research just remake the building in the smaller scale. I like this idea, saves time looking in the books and should be pretty easy to make. I think I am getting a idea formed now. LOL
I will start a log on how I go about making a hash and mess of this one.
LOL
Cheers

For all you guys taking part in the dio war competition here's a bar to add to your profile.Simply down load it stick it in your photo bucket account ect and stick the code in you sig box on your profile.
I took the liberty of adding one to BB's and inscale's sig box to make sure it worked ok.And as you start your comp build logs i'll one to yours if you get stuck with adding it.

We will remember them."
