Right chaps as we all know Alex won the competition for reasons we all know,
So a big hearty well done to him for his build.I have spent the last few days thinking about a new comp and have decided to open the field a little bit.The new one starting on the 1st of December is.
DIO WAR
It will be for 5 months and the winner will walk away with £100 to be spent on what ever they need from books to the latest models. All prizes must be of a modeling nature,The rules are
1 The dio must depict at least 1 vehicle and 5 figures minimum.
2 It can be from any area of ww2.
3 a build log must be kept on this site.
4 After market and scratch built items allowed.
5 You can enter as many dio's as you like.
6 Any scale allowed.
7 Any dio entered must not be finished at the start date.
8 All enter photos must be sent to me by the closing date of may 1st 2010.
9 It will all be about the detailing and bringing the dio to life.
Any one up for this one. ? If so get round your modeling clubs and friends and let them know what they could win. |

Yes Alex you can, this comp is more about the dio, the ground work and how you go about super detailing and finishing things of with those little things that bring it to life.finding the vocas of the peace, not just the vehicle build. |

Sounds interesting Alex nice idea.Have you seen this for making snow.
I'v got a old tiger sat collecting dust at the mo so i was thinking of doing a winter Christmas scene on the eastern front. As usual no fighting or action though.Just plenty of detail and some scratch made bits.with the winter white wash how to and the snow i think i will be doing some learning |

Sounds like fun, Im in!
seraphim, it looks like rule 2 says it has to be in the WW2 era, but it would be up to trackpad to change that rule if he felt it should be.
I like the idea of a WW2 theme my self..... |

Im looking at doing a different field of the war, nothing wintery
Theres alot of products you can use for snow and ice Alex, im sure youve seen the examples on here - you can also buy clear pour resin to do water/frozen pon/river effects. I think it depends on the actual setting you want tho once you have your basic idea down, go from there - theres plenty of help and advice on here if you need it lol
